Limited understandings of the risks associated with using gene therapy as a therapeutic for retinal vascular diseases is inhibiting development of potentially ground-breaking treatment options. However, recent innovation and results from clinical trials in gene therapies are showing great promise.
This workshop will offer a deep dive into the application of gene therapies in treating retinal vascular diseases and will outline:
- The most recent discoveries and progress in gene-therapy approaches to treating Wet AMD, DME, DR and RVO
- The unknown potential risks and creating strategies to mitigate these concerns
- Current progress and discoveries influencing clinical development of genetherapy based therapeutics
